The Juggler – Volume 3

There is much to celebrate here at LightFull HQ, both professionally and personally. LightFull was available online early in August through Amazon.com and sold out in the time it takes to learn how to pronounce “satiety” (don’t worry, we are restocked and ready to go!). We welcomed a new member to the LightFull team as Assistant Brand Manager – Anthony Campanile. On top of all that, Lara and Robyn both have birthdays coming up and Lynn’s oldest friend got married, so we are, as usual, living a full life, but trying to take ourselves lightly if you know what we mean. We know you know how we feel, so take good care this month…

In Good Health,

Lara and Lynn

Laura Scher Joins Board of LightFull

We’re thrilled to announce that Laura Scher, renowned social entrepreneur, co-founder, chairperson and chief executive officer of Working Assets, and personal hero of Lara and Lynn, has joined the board of LightFull Foods! Since Laura started Working Assets in 1985, she has proved that it is possible to build a rock solid business and a better world at the same time – all while raising 2 kids. Working Assets is a long distance, credit card and wireless company that supports positive social change by donating a percentage of its revenue to progressive nonprofit groups. “It’s incredibly satisfying to know that a community of kindred spirits can have an enormous impact,” said Laura. We couldn’t agree more!

LightFull Teams Up with the Society for Nutrition Education

LightFull got an outstanding reception at the Society for Nutrition Education’s Conference on July 15-16 (that’s Lynn in the exhibitor booth)! The society works to advance food and nutrition education to improve food choices and behaviors at individual, community and policy levels. Approximately 600 of the organization’s 1100 members attended this year’s annual meeting in San Francisco. Of members who completed our product feedback survey, 97% said they would recommend LightFull to a client, friend or family member!

LightFull Capturing California!

Our growth in California continues to charge full-steam ahead! We’re now in Mollie Stone’s in the Bay area and Nugget Market near our state capital. And we continue to add local independents throughout the Golden State like Bryan’s in San Francisco and Arcada Coop further north.

Fiber: The Superfood

It should come as no surprise that we here at LightFull are huge fans of fiber. It’s filling and contributes to satiety, which is why there are at least 5 grams in each of our yummy smoothies. But there are other great reasons to eat more fiber: it helps lower blood cholesterol, aids digestion and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes. Learn more.

Word from the Growing Satiety Society!

The latest member of the Satiety Society is Audrey DiPlacido, a RN with children who are also RNs from Erie, PA:

“I have been telling lotsa folks who care about healthy bodies about [LightFull Smoothies]. So many of us sit all day; often times difficult to fit exercise… your product truly a godsend to me. Thanks so much!”
