Work/Life Balance

JugglerWe are all striving to find our own perfect balance between work, play, family, fun, and personal time. Sometimes we get it right, sometimes we drop a ball or two and have to regroup. LightFull Foods celebrates the passion and spirit that keeps us all striving for the perfect balance.

A Goal from Lynn Graham, cofounder of LightFull Foods

Our foremothers fought to afford us the opportunity to be whatever we wanted to be. So, when I was in my 20s I focused on my career, wanting to live up to my potential. But now that I am in my 30s, living up to my potential means something different. I still want to have a rewarding career doing what I love, but I also want to be a good daughter, wife, friend, and someday mother, and to give back to my community, too. It sounds easier and less ambitious than trying to be Meg Whitman, but I don’t think it is. I know many women with outstanding careers, but little time to spare after work and many wonderful mothers who are working part time jobs that don’t fully take advantage of their talent.

My goal is to find the elusive modern day role models – the ones who have found their own perfect balance - to learn from how they’ve made it work. I need your help.

Desperately seeking a modern day role model (aka a LightFull Lady)

She glows with passion. She is hard working and capable. She is multifaceted and juggles responsibilities not just for herself and her work, but also for her family and community. She may not get it right all the time, but she keeps at it and handles both success and failure with grace.

If you know someone who fits the bill, write us and tell us why.

Organization is my best friend when I want to stay balanced, focused, and productive. Making a list the night before I hit the sack for that 8 hours of rest and recovery saves me time the next morning and allows me to rest peacefully.
