At LightFull Foods we believe in giving back to our community. Here are a few of the organizations we have supported in the past year.

Write Girl

WriteGirl is a nonprofit organization for high school girls centered on the craft of creative writing and empowerment through self-expression. Through one-on-one mentoring and monthly workshops, girls are given techniques, insights and hot tips for great writing in all genres from professional women writers.

Girl Ventures

GirlVentures empowers adolescent girls to develop and express their strengths. They explore self, community, culture and environment through outdoor adventure, creative arts and group experiences. Since its founding in 1997, GirlVentures has played a pivotal role in the lives of over 2,400 diverse Bay Area girls through our four core program areas: Summer Outdoor Adventure Programs, School-Year Programs, Leadership Development Program, and Community Courses.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is a non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Our curricula address all aspects of girls' development - their physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being.

The Women’s Alliance

The Women's Alliance is a national organization of independent community-based members who provide professional attire, career skills training and related services to low-income women seeking employment. organization organized under the laws of the District of Columbia.

PAWS

Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS) is a volunteer-based organization that provides for the comprehensive needs of companion animals for low-income persons with HIV/AIDS and other disabling illnesses. By providing these essential support services, educating the larger community on the benefits of the human-animal bond, and advocating for the rights of disabled individuals to keep service animals, PAWS improves the health and well-being of disabled individuals and the animals in their lives.

Bret J Steiner Memorial Fund

Bret J.Steiner died in a tragic motorcycle accident in 2007, leaving a wife and child.

GroundSpring.org

Groundspring.org's mission is to improve the effectiveness of the nonprofit sector by providing information technology solutions that facilitate and enhance communication and engagement between nonprofit organizations and their stakeholders. We do this by offering software tools and services, training, and consulting that help nonprofit organizations raise funds and communicate with their stakeholders online, and manage their operations more effectively.

The Start-up Camp

Startup Camp is an unconference-style event that's dedicated to bringing together the various members of the startup community for a face-to-face collaborative meetup where its the attendees that drive the agenda (in true unconference fashion)

MS Society

They help each person address the challenges of living with MS through our 50 state network of chapters. They fund more MS research, provide more services to people with MS, offer more professional education and further more advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. The Society is dedicated to achieving a world free of MS.
